Kate Payne and Vikki Massarano are joining as partners, with Max Ballad appointed legal director and Nigel Jones and Robert Walker named as senior associates.
The expansion is a major step for the specialist pensions law practice, which was established in 2015, and takes its number of partners to six.
Payne, who was a partner at DLA Piper, provides strategic advice to trustees and employers on a wide range of issues.
Massarano, also previously a partner, specialises in the pensions aspects of sales and acquisitions, restructurings, corporate financings and pension scheme mergers
Arc Pensions Law senior partner Anna Rogers said: “I’m delighted to announce that Arc is establishing a Leeds office and will become the first major national pensions boutique in the UK.
“We’re extremely fortunate to be joined at ARC by Kate Payne and Vikki Massarano, two very experienced and highly regarded pensions partners, together with most of their team.”
